a one-person operation

I make all Topknot ties and accessories out of my living room. Each tie is individually cut, sewn (often by hand!), and pressed. Skinny ties are mostly stitched by hand. 

I've always been a sucker for a man who looks good in a suit and tie, so maybe it's not so surprising that I became a tie-maker (no....actually, it's still surprising!) I am a PhD student by day and a tie-maker in the times in between. 

My inspiration comes from my partner (a.k.a my reluctant tie model), who has gotten a little too good at dressing better than me.
